4 million dead

Don't worry – that's 4 million question marks dead. AQA's mission is to kill off the question mark and since launch has answered over 4 million paid questions

London, 7th November 2006 – IssueBits, the provider of the AQA 63336 (Any Question Answered) service, today announces its latest milestone in its efforts to kill off question marks whenever they arise. Since launching in April 2004, AQA, the world's first mobile premium text question and answer service, has answered 4 million paid questions texted to 63336 (UK) and 57275 (Ireland), accelerating from answering the first million in 18 months, to the fourth million in only 3 months.

"AQA was set up to provide a fantastic customer service: when you're out and about with friends, arguing in the pub, or need some advice or travel information the answer is just a text away," said Colly Myers, CEO. "Our aim through AQA is to end the question mark wherever it crops up, and to do it in style – providing well written, impressive answers to all questions within minutes. We've accelerated from answering a million in 18 months, to a million every three months. Within the next year we aim to be answering one million paid questions each and every month."

To help AQA achieve the goal of a million questions per month, IssueBits has:

  • extended its potential customer base by a further 4 million users by making AQA available on the Virgin Mobile network in the UK.
  • compiled the best questions and answers over the last two and a half years into a book titled 'The End of the Question Mark'. On sale now at Amazon and all major high street bookshops.
  • allowed new customers to ask their first question for free from www.aqa.eu.

  • The four millionth question was "Which male film star played a female in all his films", AQA's answer was "Lassie is a female character, but all 9 of the dogs who portrayed her have been male. Pal, born on 20 June 1940, was the first dog to play Lassie."
  • The most popular three questions AQA gets asked are "What is the meaning of life?", "Why do men have nipples?", and "How can I get a job working for you?"
